It hurts when people you love and who you

thought loved you back, can treat you with

utter disrespect in your own home.

you can go ahead and do what ever you want to with

your life.

Sorry if my 9 years of marriage, raising 3 children mean nothing

to you.

since you think your so much better

than the rest of us.

I wash my hands clean, i will not be treated as such.

good riddance

An Afternoon Getaway

After church Sunday R. purposed a getaway for our family.
Lunch in the Haulapia's...

After church we rushed home, changed, loaded up Penny, & headed out.
We decided Penny should join us on her first out of town family trip
the first of many more to come. She is excellent in the car. just the
right size, maybe not for Really long trips, but not to bad.

I could take photos of Penny all day long...
That sweet little whiskers mouth

This one was on the way home, she was so worn out and sleepy

There are more to come, these were from my Nikon, i have more on my phone that turned out really cute…i have to email them to myself though.

Early to rise

This morning rudy needed to be at work early, so we decided, well let meĀ  rephrase that ‘I’ decided to go early. Its 7:15 and we are at the school, the kids are playing.

1st Day of School

The Day has arrived, everyone is excited.

The kids woke up at 6:30am all on their own..

Lunches are packed, hair is combed, Teeth are brushed

Adia Rose is starting 2nd grade, knows everything, doesn’t need her mom to walk her to class, and is a little to big fer her britches.

Lennon James is starting 1st grade, nervous about homework, extremely particular about his shoes, and a sweet soul.

Ian Matthews is being home schooled this year…he’s only 41/2 but so ready to start. loves to help people, has the most luscious locks I’ve ever seen, and acts so much like me.

When we got to the school, our bestest friends were just getting there as well. What a great start to a great day

In order.

Adia, Ian, Riley, Lennon

In Order

Strange man, Adia, lennon, Honey, Ian, Riley

My sweetheart, growing to fast.

You would think she has been wearing glasses for years. They suit her.

Also, notice her snazzy bag…her dear, sweet, loving Mother made it for her.

This boy has my heart…every little bit

He is so filled with compassion and love

At his desk…I asked him if he wanted a kiss….he did….he loves me

First year we didnt have crying…

FREEDOM!!!!

we were commenting about how nice is hair looked this morning…

Two of my MEN!!!

Now off to steam clean my living room and hallway…

Its a good day!!!

Creative Juices

This past week i have let the creative juices

flow, i decided to pull out my sewing machine.

Sewing is one of those things that when projects actually

turn out, i get all excited

and start sewing more.

My Kitchen table has become a craft Table,

with my sewing machine, fabric and loose thread all over it.

Also my ironing board has taken up residence in my dining room,

not to sure if it will ever leave.

Here are some of what i made this week.

Took old worn out pair of flats and transformed them into THIS…..

I discovered ‘Mod Podge’ this week,

how i have lived my life up until this point without ever knowing about it

is short of a miracle.

I took some brown corduroy material and ‘podged’ it onto these flats. then

hot glued buttons on the toe.

a couple things…

1. the cord material is a little rough, probably will have to wear low socks with them.

2. this was only my second project using the ‘podge’ i am sure i

will get better at it.

Cute Tool-belt for Ian

now he has a handy dandy bag to carry all the

items a little boy needs to carry around.

all in a convenient, hands free cooler than a fanny pack tool-belt

His idea to wear the stocking hat….

We were having WAY to much fun here

he is so photogenic, i just could’nt stop myself

This is my favorite.

The thoughtfulness,
shoulder up,
Head down
such sweetness on his face.
enjoying the carefree life,
while he can

Mod Podge attempt #2

When my sewing WALL is complete i will have a shelve above my sewing table

that will be the home of this and a few other boxes.

ready and willing to hold various items

Its actually quite sturdy for being made out of cardboard and hot glue.

Grocery Tote

This was my first attempt, turned out lovely,

there are a few things i would change.

using canvas instead.

For this one, i used the heaviest material i had, but still

canvas would be so much better.

I wanted to make Adia a tote for school, instead

of a backpack, so i wanted to try my hand out making one.

with what ever i had on hand.

Even though its not very heavy, its sturdy and strong

enough for groceries. Already tried it out.

Keep a watch out for even more crafty ideas,

I’m full of them.

There is something about the baby of a family
They occupy a special place in a Mothers Heart....
This 'baby' is no exception.
He amazes me, confounds me, irritates me, makes me smile, makes me laugh,
& brings me more joy than i ever thought a child could.
He's Ian Matthews Korv

The creator of THIS!!!!

AND THIS!!!!!

For only being FOUR years old i think he is an amazing artist...
I am so happy that i get to spend another school year with him at home,
I will be so sad when he has to go to kindergarten.

love love love you Ian

Been Awhile

Sorry its been awhile since i wrote.
I can;t believe a week has gone by, since we went
to the concert in Vegas.
July 3rd R and I saw
Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zero's/
If you have not heard of this band, drop what
you are doing, get in your car and drive to
your nearing hastings or barnes and noble and
purchase their c.d...
I promise, you will not regret it.

It was pretty much a life altering experience for me,
the energy in the room was over the top.
When they come back through this way, i will
be first in line for tickets.

The week has been pretty laid back,
we had the discipleship program for the youth at
our house Wednesday, i made Taco's for 20 people,
they were pretty much amazing.
Today we had Breakfast Club and i made Eggs and Waffles
for about 15 people, *thanks to my sis for all the eggs
i think i used about 5 dozen today...*

Went on a walk with the chill-ins and 2 of the dogs,
it was quite nice, could have done with out the reminding the boys
to walk next to the curb every 2 secs. then needing to go into
detail what would happen if a car hit them, sometimes i
think if i scare them enough it will make them listen better.
hmph, not sure if its working or not.
I think tomorrow night just me and 1 of the dogs shall go.
( Penny is wiped out...she literally took a drink
of water, laid down and now looks like a saggy faced dead dog.
Have i told you lately how much i love that dog?
Well i do....
